Just the Basics Equine Services was founded in January of 2007.
I'm Kathy Comtois and I have over 20 years of experience riding, teaching, showing and training horses having worked with many wonderful trainers throughout New England.
I've taken a bit of knowledge from each of these taleneted trainers and horsepeople, out of which my style, Just the Basics developed. My main goal is to teach the rider and horse to communicate and work together in harmony and happiness.
Our program encompasses horsemanship, riding, safety,equine care and understanding the nutritional needs of your horse.

This is my husband Michael with Trinity in 2005.
Michael is a CDL licensed commercial driver and works for a local firm in Connecticut.
He is also a Volunteer Firefighter and former EMT with over 30 years of dedication to Killingly, CT departments.
Michael handles all our transportation needs hauling our trailer and maintaining the safety of our horses on the roads as well as off.
